OPERA, CHAMBER MUSIC AND ROMANIAN CRAFT TRADITIONS CELEBRATING SPRING
Inspired by the Romanian Spring tradition of Mărțișor, this concert series brought audiences together for an intimate musical experience where voice, viola, cello and piano met in a programme dedicated to renewal, light and emotional connection.
In parallel with the concerts, the event featured a special exhibition of handmade Mărțișor objects, created by students of the Nicolae Tonitza High School of Fine Arts, Bucharest - curator Anca Maria Ciofîrlă. The exhibition offered a visual reflection on spring, creativity and cultural continuity.
The concerts took place in several venues:
King House, Boyle - Sunday, 1 March 2026, from 4.00PM
The Embassy of Romania to Ireland, Dublin (Palmerston House) - Monday, 2 March, from 5.00PM
Claregalway Castel - Wednesday, 4 March 2026, 7.30PM (opening with Romanian wine tasting at 7.00PM)
