In June 2026, ICon Arts Ireland and UCIMR presented “From the Danube to the Dodder”, a musical project celebrating the cultural connections between Romania and Ireland through two concerts held at Rathfarnham Castle, Dublin (11 June) and King House, Boyle (14 June).
The programme featured a vibrant journey through Romanian, Irish and international music, performed by an outstanding trio: Adrian Mantu (cello), Dermot Dunne (accordion) and Sebastian Tegzesiu (violin). Blending traditions, styles and musical influences, the concerts highlighted the power of music to create dialogue across cultures and borders.
The Dublin concert was honoured by the presence of Laurențiu Mihai Ștefan, Ambassador of Romania to Ireland, underlining the importance of Romanian–Irish cultural cooperation and artistic exchange.
